Shear Gap:
The shear gap is the space between they flywheel and the damper housing. During production the shear gap is filled with viscous silicone fluid.
Silicone Fluid:
Silicone fluid is the best damping media available. Only Fluidampr with it’s silicone technology can effectively control torsional vibrations at all frequencies.
Damper Housing:
Housing are precision machined and balanced.
Inertia Ring, Flywheel:
Inside every Fluidampr is a steel flywheel, which is machined and balanced to ensure precision fit and performance.
Bore Size:
Fluidampr bore sizes are held to extremely tight tolerances based on OEM specifications.
Featuring Performance Dampers For LS Engine Applications
Fluidampr performance dampers help protect your engine investment from destructive crankshaft torsional vibration caused by performance upgrades. Available for popular Chevy LS engine applications. Long lasting, maintenance free design automatically adjusts to your modifications then continuously self-tunes in real time across the entire rpm range. Brilliant black zinc chromate finish. Multiple pulley options available. SFI 18.1 race certified. Made in the USA.
Fluidampr CT GOLD Series Dampers
FOR SMALL & BIG BLOCK CHEVY CRANKSHAFTS
Target Applications:
Circle Track
Drag Racing
Key Benefits:
Centering Technology
Out performs and outlasts any elastomeric dampers
Does not need to be rebuilt
Never needs to be tuned
Fluidampr’s new centering technology design is specifically made for race engines to improve the control of torsional vibrations above 6000 RPM. This new design is far superior to any elastomeric damper and will allow the crankshaft to be balanced with the Fluidampr installed on the crankshaft. Fluidampr’s new patent pending technology allows the inertia ring to remain centered in the housing cavity when the damper is at rest.
About Us
The best dampers on the market are manufactured in the U.S.A. by Horschel Motorsports, an ISO 9001:2008 certified facility. HM is continuing the tradition that started in 1946, when the first viscous damper was invented. Over 4 million viscous dampers have been made for heavy duty diesel, drag car, stock car, street machine, race boat and other high performance engines. Looking into the future, Horschel Motorsports promises to manufacture the best dampers available as well as engineering new solutions for developing engine technologies.
